CONFESSIONS OF AN ARTIST #1
Shadman was asked awhile ago if he Jerks off to his own artwork, and this got me thinking cuz this questions was also asked to me as well.
The answer is (at least for me) No…I dont get turned on by my own artwork, as a matter a fact, it would be more along the lines of self torture for an artist to try to jerk off to his own artwork. The thing is….depending on how picky you are as a person…if you try to jerk it to your own art….you’re gonna find yourself flaccid real quick and angrily frustrated even quicker.
The reason why is….when your doing that and you look at your own artwork….you start to see all the shit that you messed up on, and you start to get frustrated over little tiny details you could have changed or entire things you could have done differently….and before you know….you have a dead boner on your hands…and you’re to blame for the loss of life.
Its easier getting turned on by someone else’s work cuz you dont notice all the fuck ups and little details…and if you do, it dosent bother you.
But in Conclusion if you’re an artist and can jerk it off to you own stuff without thinking of giving yourself the Kurt Cobain experience, then I applaud you…you sir are a true hero and an inspiration to us all.
