Chapter 2: The sudden stop.
They started their fight, Draizara was not even phased
by the attacks Rai threw against her, taking punches and kicks like they were
mere gusts of wind. The Niori noticed that her force wasn’t enough, so she
planned on using her talons for extra damage. She had doubts at first, but her
opponent would show no mercy otherwise. She
ran towards her at full speed without making any sound, and just before
reaching her she vanished in thin air.
-What the …– The dragon exclaimed and
looked around, before arching her back forward from a heavy scratch on her
back, followed by the warm feeling of blood pouring out from it. It seemed like
a successful hit.
-I see how it is, you’ll be using that
famous speed of yours, and I’ll give ya that for now.-
Rai went in again for another
strike, but things went differently this time. Her attack pattern had become
predictable, and Draizara soon figured it out. Every time she ran towards her,
she would hit from the opposite side. The bird was running from her left side,
and right before she could hit her, Draizara sent a punch to the right and
landed a powerful hit on her.
The hit seemed to
have drained a lot of her energy, the bird was shaking and her face was shadowy
and messy. She could barely even stand. Draizara took this opportunity to boast
over her victory and to taunt her.
-And you call yourself a goddess,
pathetic. I’ll make it easy for you and offer you the chance of giving up.
What’cha say?-
-I say you talk too much- In a last effort, she ran towards the Dralkyr,
expecting her to think she’d use her speed to appear on the opposite side
again, but this time she’d hit directly.
Draizara grabbed her leg quickly, flung Rai into the air and before she hit the
ground, she threw a punch directly into her stomach, opening a wound and
causing blood to flow out from it. The tiles on her yard were stained red. She
flew backwards until she slammed into one of the many cherry trees in her yard,
making a dry thud as her back hit the wood.
Before fading out she could hear Stinger scolding Draizara and see her running towards her, but her view was slowly covered by the petals from her tree falling onto her. Some of which were turning pink to red from the blood leaking from her wound.
Eventually; she went unconscious…
