This game is so fucking relatable.
Dunno if I asked you before but the creator did an interview where he talked about the setting as rustbelt gothic and wanted your take on it as it seemed like something you were personally familiar with.
Being from the twin tiers of NY/PA I am extremely familiar with the setting this game offers. Especially having spent the majority of my life in the rural or small town atmosphere.
Where I grew up didn’t have as much of an emphasis on coal mining, as the coal seams end a few miles south of me, but everything else was still spot on. Including the lay of the land and big abandoned factories.
I think that’s why the game spoke to me so deeply. I just… get it. It captures the overall feel of what I call Northern Appalachia perfectly. Particularly the semi-rural life.
