Do you have any tutorials on how you draw your beautiful sonic character bird beaks?

Hello! Sorry for the long delay in response. I promise I wasn’t ignoring you, I’m just bad at replying in a prompt manner- especially when someone is asking for something that requires a little work to answer properly.

First of all, I suggest having a glance at my note about muzzles

That out of the way let’s focus specifically on bird beaks.

The base shape begins the same as any other Sonic-style muzzle.

The next part I don’t tend to sketch because I can mentally visualize it, but the ‘mass’ of the beak is basically a big round shape projecting from the muzzle:

Next, find the corners of your mouth.

Use the circular mass you either sketched or visualized earlier to inform the shape and mass of your beak, and connect the lowest dip/point of the beak to the corners of the mouth. One of your corners is probably behind the mass, because we’re thinking in a ‘3d’ sense.

Viola! A basic bird beak. You can tweak this in various ways to make different sorts of beaks.

Example- by making the point of the beak less severe you can make something more like Wave’s.

Hope that helps!

@miko-punch

Wait, what about the front and side of the beak?

General principle remains the same!

“Draw a regular Sonic muzzle, sink a spherical shape into it, follow the curve”. Bit more difficult from the front because you need to figure out how you how you want to contour the lines.
