Nothing will ever be good enough for these people. So every creator should stop catering to them. The quality of fictional stories has already started suffering. Thanks to people focusing on skin color, sex, sexuality, etc rather making interesting characters and stories.
Agreed, though in this case I don’t think that the show is “catering” to anybody, I say this mainly due to the show runners saying “hey, shut the fuck up journalists, almost no one is complaining about a female doctor” in response to the various rags writing pieces about the “multitude” of people complaining about a female doctor.
I agree though, you give these people an inch and they run to the hills with it.

Yes, there IS a long way to go for mainstream media to represent people of color, the trans community, the sadly neglect Bi community who faces erasure even from others within the LGBT community itself but all that aside nothing will ever make FF happy.
They remind me of Lisa Simpson in a scene where she attempts to play football because it’s something girls don’t go, only to find there’s several girls in the game already. She then tries to be indignant about the ball being made from pigskin and she’s a vegetarian, only to find the ball is made with synthetic pigskin and with nothing to really be upset about she just leaves.
