Im usually asked this question every now and then and my answer is quite simple. If you want a cheap PC for less then 400 bucks look no Further then the Dell Optiplex Series. These aftermarket prebuild PC’s were made by Dell for businesses that needed some powerful hardware that have now flooded the used PC market.
Not only do these PC’s go for under $300 dollars on eBay, they come with an already activated version of Windows installed and enough RAM for any casual Gamer. If you look up Optiplex PC’s with 4th Gen Core i5′s you’ll find very VERY good deals for these and if you want the most bang for you buck, go for the i5 4690, which in my opinion is one of the best i5 CPU’s ever made. Most of these however do not have what id call reputable power-supplies that can deliver enough power for a dedicated GPU.
NOW FOR THE GRAPHICS!
For the Graphics Card I choose the GTX 1050ti one of the best Bang for the Buck GPU’s on the market right now and the best part about this is the fact that the GPU does not need external power, it can run right off the Motherboard. All you got to do is just plug and go.
What kind of performance will you get from this system?
You’ll be able to play any game you want at 1080p at or near 60fps or even more depending on your game settings.
This is a great system for anyone who wants a cheap yet powerful Gaming PC and Id recommend it to anyone.
