Scott’s Fnafworld update

You can read it here-

Basically he’s taking it off of Steam for good and plans to release the updated version for free via Gamejolt.

Frankly I am a bit upset. Not at Scott, not at all. But at the Steam community.

Scott made a mistake and he apologized for it, then went above and beyond to say he’d fix it for us. That’s more than you can hope for from scumpanies like Square or Capcom right?

So what did he get for that? Hate. Massive shit-piles of hatred. Troll reviews down-voting the game, huge flamewars, over-demanding fans, a total mess.

In general: Fuck you, gamers. I mean seriously. Fuck you. Immature, entitled brats.

It pains me, to be honest, that the guy is now going to take a financial hit instead of selling his product. That and as a fnaf fan myself I was hoping this game would be one of the next best indie games of Steam; it still could’ve been!

Yeah he got overly excited and released an unfinished game. Gee that never fucking happens does it? He still intends to fix it up.

gah I can’t stand the masses.

While I don’t think it would’ve been the next best indie game, I do agree with Skoon for the most part.

I was fine with Scott admitting his mistake and fixing it via updates, in fact, I respect him for owning up to his mistake publicly.

But I feel requesting everyone to get a refund so he can release the game for free later seems a bit too much.  He’s only one man, and I fear just how much of a financial hit this is going to be for him.  I mean, FNAF World wasn’t a masterpiece from what I played of it, but it still felt like there was definitely a lot of effort put into the game.

To clarify I said “one of the next best” not “THE next best”.

In my mind there are qualifiers in that wording that attempt to ensure I’m not claiming it would’ve been the definitively best game.

Likewise my definition of best these days just means “not shit”.

I miss the good old days where people knew how to properly show disinterest in something.

Y’know, drugs, free love, rock ‘n roll, maybe some light anarchy.

An orgy, an open market, watching lions feast upon Christians in an arena… the good ol’ days!

FNAF still a thing?
