Hey, look at that, I’ve finally got my shiny new tabl– Aaaaand it’s rip.
Yep, after months of saving and three weeks of waiting for the delivery, what I get is a heavily damaged box and a cracked tablet inside. I hope I can either get it replaced or at least get a refund, but even in the best case, that would take weeks, again. All the while my old tablet is getting worse by the day. Not gonna lie guys, this is totally not good =/
Update on the tablet situation. The seller refuses to replace the tablet or refund the money, insisting that they’ve sent a working product and whatever happened is the shipping service’s fault - so I should get my compensation from them. Now, Russian Post is objectively horrible, so it could be true, however, they are also notoriously stingy with any kind of compensating. All they say is that they’ve received the package that was already damaged, and anything else isn’t their concern.
So, yeah. I’ve been trying all week, and I’m still trying to get something out of somebody, but it more and more looks like I won’t be getting anything back and the money is just lost. The local store of that brand also refused to do repairs, saying the model is relatively new and they don’t have any spare parts for it, so restoring that pile of junk I’ve been left with is also not an option.
Which means, since I absolutely can’t risk being left without a tablet, I’ll have to put the comic on hold right now and do paid stuff non-stop until I make enough for the new one. It would cost me around $900-1000 to order a new one, but it would mean another several weeks of shipping, and at this point I’d rather not wait that long - so I’m aiming to buy one here, which would be around $1400-1500. So that’s going to be a while before I’m back to normal schedule.
Honestly guys, it sucks so damn much to get that kinda crap the first time I order something big like that, I can’t even tell you. I guess on the bright side that was also the last time this particular kind of crap happens to me, because from now on I will be much, much, much more careful. Which I advise to you also.
