So, I know Suicide Squad won best makeup, but can we just take a moment to appreciate the makeup in Star Trek Beyond anyway? I mean, just look at these:
First off, Kalara. The color gradient and the ridges are just gorgeous.
For Natalia, who only even in this one scene, they had to create super-light prostheses, AND they used a new iridescent, color-shifting pigmentthat had never been used in makeup before.
Those lights on Krall? They’re not CG. They imbedded fiber optics into the prosthesis.
And Jaylah. Wonderful Jaylah, they made a “bulletproof” makeup formula that won’t bleed at all and then APPLIED ALL OF THOSE LINES BY HAND.

Another great question I get asked by people and the answer is….do you need to? Is there something you want or want to do that your current CPU just does not allow for? Better performance or you want to try video editing, etc. If the answer is ‘YES’ then yeah you should upgrade…..HOWEVER. What should you upgrade to? If you are a i3 6100 owner and want more bang then I would highly advice you to upgrade to an i5 since the i3 6100 is actually on par with a much cheaper Pentium G4560 CPU.
Now if you already own a old i7 for example a i7 3770k….should you upgrade to a much newer i7 7700k? Yes, if you can afford a new motherboard and RAM….go ahead and upgrade, especially for the price you can now find the 7700k at.
NOW! If you have a i7 4790k….should you upgrade to an i7 7700k? Absolutely not….you shouldn’t. The rule when it comes to CPU’s is….if there’s a performance increase of more then 30%, its worth the upgrade. However if the performance difference is 13% or lower……there’s no point in upgrading.
As you can see the 7th Gen 7700k is only 13% more performance efficient then the Legendary 4th Gen i7 4790k. This means there’s almost no noticeable difference…as it is the 7700k is just a spit shinned version of the 4790k since Intel doesn’t give a shit about Core Efficiency anymore. So if you have a 4th Gen i7….I say you’re completely fine….you are not missing much. As it is…the i7 7700k is actually a wreck at the moment, sure you can get 5Ghz out of the box on air, but the CPU over-heats like a mother fucker, reaching 100 degrees C. People are actually de-lidding the i7 7700k to remove the cheap and nasty thermal paste Intel carelessly put on it. Which is Ironic since this is what happened with the 4770k which people had to return and get a refund since they caught on fire and Intel was forced to fix it by making the i7 4790k.
If you have the 4790k, I don’t really see you needing to upgrade for the next 7 years or so depending on how fucking crazy shit gets between Intel and AMD.
